Kathy Gets Married At Senior Ball

This weekend Kathy got married and Lily and I were in the wedding. Lily was excited the whole day for the wedding. When it finally came time for the wedding she did so good as a flower girl. She took her flowers and threw them all on the ground...in one place, oh well. She then announed " they are all gone ". It was cute. She walked down the isle then over to where I was standing and then back up the isle to Daddy. She then throughout the ceremony walked from Daddy to me about two times and ended up walking with me (and my groomsman) out of the wedding. When the wedding was over and it was time for pictures she was a little pistol. She was hungry and began acting out and didn't end up in any of the group shots because she didn't want to have her picture taken. At that point Louis and I thought, ok it is over, time for her to go home (it was about 6:30 pm). But then I told her that there might be Strawberries at the reception, she should go find out...and like magic she was all excited and off she went with Daddy. When the bridal party finally made it to the reception I thought for sure she was going to be 'checked out' but nope there she was like a rock star having a good time with all of the other kids. She ran around the reception for what seemed like an eternity. She was still going strong by 7:30 when it came time for dinner.


When it was time for Kathy & Bryan's first dance she joined them on the dance floor and did some type of ballet dance. Finally it came time for everyone to dance and she had a blast. She spinned and twrilled and jumped and ran for another hour.

She participated in the bouquet toss and my friend Candace caught the bouquet. Then there was more dancing and who is out on the dance floor...Lily! All of the kids danced together and even Ryan (Krista's son) danced with Lily, we think he likes her. Kathy invited some of our old friends...and I do mean old. We've all known each other since first grade - Matt , Todd, Candy & Trish. It was great to see them again. When I started First Grade at St. Mary's my mom dropped me off and pointed out Matt & Todd to me (she knew there mom's ) and told me, to stay by them if you get scared or nervous, they will help you out. They were good guys then and they are still good guys today.



At 10:00 we said ' ok it is time to go home and feed the kitties' but nope she wanted to request a song from the DJ. She wanted to hear "Cat Scratch Fever" by Ted Nuggent but he didn't have that so she then requested "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts and well we had to stay to dance to that song. And while we waited she wanted to eat her ketchup...which was the wedding favor (very cute) becuase the groom is in love with Ketchup.

Finally at 10:30 we got to the Valet and had to wait a few mintues for our car. There was also a prom going on there and it was St. Francis Senior Prom! Hillarous because some of our old teachers were there and Mr. Norman took mine and Kathy's picture. Great guy, still remembered us. Lily meet her future History teacher and it was funny because she asked me about Blogging after I told her that I am a Virtual Assistant. While we were waiting for our car some of the girls from the Prom were coming out and one girl looked at me and said "excuse me MAM, but could you take our picture?" I was happy to take the picture but first I wanted to tell her that she didn't need to call me MAM, then did the math and realized that she was born the year I graduated so I kept my mouth shut because she was right... I am a MAM to her. Then I thought, this is going to be Lily one day at her Senior Ball (little tear) and then I thought CRAP I am twice the age of these girls. Dam it !#$#% I'm getting old.

We are exhausted but we had a great time!
